Why Ensure COSHH Compliance?
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 (as amended) place a legal duty on employers to control substances that are hazardous to health. Since first introduced in 1989, COSHH has evolved through several revisions. The latest update was issued in January 2020 with the fourth edition of EH40/2005 – Workplace Exposure Limits, which sets out current exposure limits for hazardous substances.
To remain compliant, COSHH assessments and records must be regularly reviewed and updated. Employers should be confident they can answer key questions, such as:

Who is exposed, and to what level, frequency, and duration?
